I am proud to be part of this initiative – my interpretive signboard for the WB Yeats sculpture project ‘Enwrought Light’ in Chiswick, London, inspired by Ciarán Hinds’ reading of He Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven. The unveiling event, organised by Cahal Dallat, was followed by a wonderful evening listening to poetry readings by Sinéad Cusack, Ciarán Hinds, Ruth Negga and Jeremy Irons (06 Sep 2022).

Had I the heavens’ embroidered cloths, Enwrought with golden and silver light, The blue and the dim and the dark cloths, Of night and light and the half-light, I would spread the cloths under your feet: But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
